Change happens in numbers. We would love it if you took the time to write an email to your congress and demand deported veterans have a pathway to citizenship. Here is a sample letter to get you started.
Dear [Congress Member's Name],
I am writing to urge you to take action on the issue of DEPORTED VETERANS. There are thousands of veterans who have served in our military but have been deported from the country they fought to protect. This is an issue that deeply concerns me, and I believe it deserves your attention.
I urge you to support efforts to change the current policies that result in the deportation of veterans. We need to ensure that these veterans are able to return to the United States, access the benefits and resources they need, and reunite with their families. This is a matter of justice and dignity, and we cannot turn our backs on those who have served our country.
These deported veterans face significant challenges, including difficulties accessing healthcare, housing, and job opportunities. They have sacrificed so much for our country, and it is unacceptable that they are being denied the benefits and resources they deserve. It is time for us to take action to make things right.
Thank you for your attention to this important issue. I look forward to hearing from you about what steps you will take to address this critical issue.
